Got a little story for ya ags...
So I'm backing up for the 5 6 and 10 shows this week since they are all live on location in different towns around amarillo for our big "summer celebration" tour. Basically I have to stay at the station, progress graphics, run the radar, and be ready to go on air if the live shot doesnt go up for some reason...anyways this is irrelevant to the story.
Between the 6 and 10 yesterday I went to McDonald's to grab something to eat. While Im ordering this girl working there pops up at the counter next to the person taking my order. Maybe she recognized me, maybe she thought I was cute, maybe she was just friendly...its whatever. So I get my food and am walking to a table when I hear whispers and the sound of a cell phone taking a picture. (you know the ker-kish sound they make to sound real). This family took a freaking picture of me at McDonalds...haha. And that is my story of my first recognition in public.
ps..next week they wanted me to be in a "celebrity" wakeboarding tournament. Seeing as how I cant swim obviously I cant do it...but I still get to go out there and drink, eat, and meet people. I'm pumped.

Crazy Times...
Hello fellow weather nerds. I have missed you guys the passed few weeks...like when I was on the plane and we flew around a cumulonimbus, or when I was at the beach and there were storms off in the distance...Anyways, married life is great. You should all find that special someone and get married. I have enjoyed everything so far. I like being able to do things for my wife, its a cool feeling. Congrats to you Shel for the new car, I expect to see a video of you soon. Congrats, Nick for being able to start at the NWSO Fort Worth on your birthday. I dunno how you got that job, you are a blessed man. I will definitely be coming up to see you and visit the office.
The honeymoon was ridiculously awesome. The first two nights we stayed at the Gaylord Texan. Its a huge hotel/resort in Grapevine, about 10 mins from DFW airport. We got upgraded to a suite which was bigger than our house in Bryan. Next, we flew to Mexico and stayed at the El Dorado Royale, an all-inclusive resort on Riviera Maya. This place was awesome. Our room was 10 yards from the beach, had a hammock, a huge shower, and a jacuzzi tub. We basically chilled on the beach all day. They would walk up and down the beach bringing you drinks, and you could get anything you wanted. We also ate alot. The resort was really fancy and the food was really good, a lot better than I expected actually. I highly recommend the place. We didn't want to leave, but we had to come back to the real world.
We are now in our house in Bryan. Its a mess right now, but we are getting it fixed up nicely. We have a ton of stuff. We are heading to South Padre this weekend with some married friends for another vacation. This July has been the best month ever. I don't want it to end.
I hope all is well with all you guys. Peace!
