Nick is Panhandle Famous...

Today's News at Noon had footage from the storm damage around Dallas. Right as the anchor said "National Weather Service went to survey the damage blah blah blah" there was nick walking around looking at the damage.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

So I just wanted to share a story...

I was so excited tonight when I went to Radio Lollipop. (For those of you who don't know what that is, its what I go to on Wednesday evenings. Its at Texas Childrens Hospital and I volunteer for radio lollipop which is this radio show that gets broadcasted within the building to patients through their tvs in their rooms. anyways so as volunteers we go down to all the rooms and tell them about the station and give them crafts and try to get them to come up to the studio and be on the radio or call in and request songs. anyways they have this really nice studio and its tons of fun) So anyways, I walked in tonight and it was PIRATE THEME!!! so they had pirate hats and swords and eye patches...I was so excited. So everyone was making pirate jokes all night and going rrrrr...and at one point I think I let out an "rdr" but no one knew what that was....good times wx pirates.

O&M Building

Hey all!! We need a recent post and I have one!

I know Matt already knows about this..but I wanted to write it anyways.

So you might think we are nerds but yesterday Alicia and I went up to CS to go to the TAMSCAMS meeting and see all the changes and stuff. Well....the building is totally getting a makeover. They have swipe cards to get into the building, the deans office is totally redone, and the second half the the 12th floor is a construction zone! no more 1209..1210..and 1213. we are lucky that we got to have class up there and see the view. Anyways, same old with everything else. I just felt like posting it. peace out.

N-G's take on Reveille...

“Early each spring, ceremonial representatives of A&M and the Corps of Cadets should visit the Brazos Valley Animal Shelter, meet the available dogs, learn about their personalities from the shelter folks, and select the next Reveille that very day. Reveille would then go into mascot training on campus during the spring semester, and graduate (be commissioned as mascot and member of the Corps) at the end of one of the spring graduation ceremonies.

“During the summer, there would officially be two Reveilles, the outgoing Reveille and the incoming Reveille. This would greatly reduce the travel and public appearance demands on any one dog. Both dogs would be loved and sought after. The outgoing Reveille would be officially retired during halftime of the first home football game of the season. The incoming Reveille would then serve as sole mascot for the fall and spring semesters, and complete its 1.5-year tour of duty at the end of the summer, when a new Reveille takes over. There would be no shortage of homes willing to adopt this dog, who at the beginning of the story had no home at all.” — John Nielsen-Gammon
